TASTEE SUB SHOP’S MISSION:

Provide a Fresh, Fast, Affordable meal solution for people who live and work in the area.

For nearly 50 YEARS Tastee Sub Shop has served the Central Jersey area.

Taken over in 1963, shortly after it’s inception, George Thornton and his son-in-law David Caldwell, worked tirelessly to build this relatively unknown concept.

"Old time" customers recount not being sure what a Submarine Sandwich was when they first saw Tastee Sub Shop’s iconic sign.

ENTER GEORGE’S SON….
David Thornton takes the reigns, partnering soon after with lifelong friend Carl Padavano who, for approaching 3 decades have carried on the tradition set before them.
